Well goodness, Twinklestars! At least I'm consistent when it comes to posting once a year. :)

Happy Everything I missed last year!
I kinda started over. With life, I mean. New husband, new home, new dogs, new relationship with the Lost Boys, new job duties and personalities; new woods, new lifestyle, new responsibilities. Different sleeping, working, and eating schedules. Transitioning through many things. Like those eye glasses that turn light to dark to light again, depending on how much light you are surrounded by? Oooh that was all metpahory wasn't it?
And I guess sometimes, all that transitioning requires losing one's self. Ok maybe not losing yourself, but losing touch with yourself. Or at least things you think of as self-defining. Wait. THAT'S it.
RE-DEFINING yourself. Yes yes that's it! That's the right word. And some things stay and some things go. I've been busy redefining myself. {And eating a lot but that's a different post}.
It's been a bit like cooking pasta (okay okay we'll talk about food in a metaphor!) - each piece of me, each defining characteristic, is something of a noodle, and to see if it is really me, I throw it at the cabinet of life and see if it sticks. :)
Well, the gist of it is, dear Twinklestars, you all are definitely food for my soul. So, congratulations, you're sparkle-dy pasta!
In addition to self redefiningment (yes it is a new word, you saw it here 1st!), I kind of left my blog by the wayside while I tore around those *other* social media places - like the one that begins with "T" and ends with "R" (cheap cheap!) and the biggest crazy maker of all, the one that begins with an "F" and ends with a "K". (HOLY MOLY I just noticed that could be construed as a bad word, literally, hahaha!)
I'm sticking with Typepad -and Instagram, because I love all the pretty pictures. I'm FIGHTING the urge to see what the Pinterest fuss is about, as my sister went in one warm day in July and hasn't come back yet!
Yes, give me bloglandia -a community of people who like to share their creativity, their thoughts, their dreams, their hopes. Throw parties. Share adventures. Challenge each other. This is home as much as anyplace ever was.
