Holy Moses, Twinklestars -it's OCTOBER!
I can't tell you how amazing that is.
I can't tell you how much that t-h-r-i-l-l-s me!
Sure, sure - there's the pumpkin spice everything and apple cider whatsits and baking and football and Halloween and and -
you know all the things.
But you know the thing I didn't say: COOLER WEATHER.
Ohmigawsh.
A breeze! A breeze without heat!
It's stupendous! It's luscious and magical ! Best Thing Ever!!!
And can we talk....chilly air? No, really.
Air. That. Feels. Like. You. Opened. The Freezer. On. A. Florida. Summer. Day.
YASSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
For a hot minute (pardon the pun). And then it is gone again. But it'll show up in another week or two for a little bit, after some system crosses our path.
It is funny in an ironic ha-ha sort of way, that we consider the seasons at all here in Florida. I mean, ask any resident and they are likely to tell you we have two seasons-raining and not raining. The optimists may tell you three - kinda hot, really hot, and I'm not going out there.
And yet, during back-to-school, our retail stores faithfully trot out the long sleeve apparel and showcase the coming winter coats. We own hats and mittens and scarves, just like everyone else, for those two days (or for a really long stretch, two WEEKS) we fall below 30. Or, truth be told, we stock up on winter wear for when WE vacation in YOUR town. Yes, you may come to our beaches, but Floridians hit your slopes. :)
Anyway, hello, October!

Roo it is good to know you are still on here.
Life has been crazy and my computer tho new is so darn slow so I rarely visit my favorite blogs. I haven't even posted on mine because it was invaded. Anyway I deleted all that and thought I would visit some blogs.
Hope you have a Merry Florida Christmas.
